The Necessity of having Police Camps within Campus

Rise in insecurity levels in college have seen the administration come up with ways to try and beef up security in campus. Recent attacks on students have led to demonstrations and strikes which eventually amount to loss of property and in other dire situations; loss of young lives. Rape, murder and armed robbery are among the criminal cases culminating on the rise in college today. This may be attributed to decline in morals ranging from provocative dressing to drug abuse and possession of lethal weapons within college. Gangs of armed robbers are being formed on a daily basis even under the watchful eyes of the administration with new recruits being coerced to join their regular rituals.

Victims go ahead to place the blame on the administration for not putting up security measures that guarantee their safety regardless of the efforts that have been put up by vice chancellors to ensure that every student is able to carry on with normal activities uninterrupted. The best solution would be having at least one police post within the campus proximity. As much as this may scare off most students it is probably the best way to guarantee safety owing to the quick response of the police and frequent patrols that keep off way-laying armed robbers. In this way, movement around campus would be eased at any time. A police post would also prove advantageous to the administration as it would help control the event of strikes. In addition, drug peddling will be controlled thus improving the academic performance of students and code of conduct.
