Religious Illusions affecting College Students

Hiding behind religion is a norm common in almost all levels of education in the system today. Religious illusions affect students when at their most desperate point, when they really need to make up for their mess and score high grades. However, with all respects to religion, there is no way religion will supplement hard work especially when it comes to academics. Miracles seldom occur in academics and if they do so they must be enforced by some great deal of hard work. To some college students, religion has become like a drug. More time is spent trying to get close to divinities than trying to find out definitions in books. This is an occurrence common during the examination finals time; when everyone is in a rush to complete assignments, take CATs and at the same time prepare for the final exam.

When looking at college life as a whole, students who are close to completing their college course are the most likely individuals to suffer from this syndrome. This comes mainly after squandering the first and most productive years of college in booze and parties. With the realization of this, then comes the urge to find a sense in life and what other better way that finding consolation through meditation and sense of self-worth provided by religion. Religious illusions make students think that they can someway get away with all the time lost and end up with an outstanding certificate. However, after all is said and done most of these folk end up being disappointed with some of them recording severe cases of manic depression. Best way to avoid this; either be religious from the start or utilize time with a plan.
